Recognize original products

A counterfeit product is not as safe as an original product: the importance of being able to distinguish them
Brembo is constantly battling counterfeiting of its products, since brake pads and discs are active safety components of the vehicle, therefore the customer must always be certain that the product purchased and installed on his or her vehicle is a Brembo original.

RECOGNIZING BREMBO AFTERMARKET DISCS IS SIMPLE AND IMMEDIATE!
1
Check the box
Besides the characteristic Brembo red, the boxes depict the faces of employees. Only the boxes of Brembo Xtra and Brembo Max discs, on the other hand, have a dedicated graphic that depicts an X - as a tribute to the special range - and emphasises the technical image of the product.
If the box is different than one of the two cases described above, you are most certainly looking at a counterfeit product!
Lastly, check to make sure that there are no signs of tampering on it.
2
Check for the Brembo hologram and snap a photo of the QR code
Check for the Brembo hologram, which can't be faked, on the product label and, for further confirmation of authenticity, snap a photo of the unique QR Code on the sealed product box.
3
Check the marking on the product
All brake discs are marked with the Brembo code and logo and with the ECE R 90 approval (available for product codes from November 2016). There is also a minimum thickness indicator (Min.Th.) for disc replacement.

RECOGNIZING BREMBO AFTERMARKET PADS IS SIMPLE AND IMMEDIATE!
1
Check the box
Besides the characteristic Brembo red, the standard brake pad boxes depict the faces of employees.
The Brembo Xtra brake pad boxes have a dedicated graphic that depicts an X and emphasises the technical image of the product.
If the box is different than one of the two cases described above, you are most certainly looking at a counterfeit product!
Lastly, check to make sure that there are no signs of tampering on it.
2
Check the safety seal and snap a photo of the QR code
The QR code is on the safety seal of brake pad boxes; snap a photo of it to have confirmation from Brembo on the product's authenticity.
3
Check the marking on the product
Besides the Brembo code and logo, the pads are also marked with the legally required technical information.

Brembo Check: the Brembo App that certifies the genuineness of UPGRADE products
When you purchase an UPGRADE product, after installing Brembo Check on your mobile device, simply use your smartphone to scan the unequivocal QR Code on the label that is easily visible on the component purchased or on the box, as in the case of the SPORT range, to receive an immediate answer as to whether the Brembo product is genuine.

Certain genuine Brembo products which were already in stock at the distribution chain at the time the Brembo Check App was launched may not have a QR code but have an anti-counterfeit scratch card instead.
Scratch off the silver strip on the card to reveal an unequivocal 6-digit code, type it into the www.original.brembo.com website to certify the product is genuine. As time goes by and as product stocks run out, the cards will become rarer and rarer, making way for the QR code and the Brembo Check App, as the only tool to check whether a Brembo product is genuine.

Brembo Check is not currently available for the Serie Oro (Gold Series) Motorbike products and for Commercial Vehicles.
